Assuming Alejandro Garnacho wore the Marcus Rashford Aston Villa jersey to send a message, and there is a lot of reason to doubt that to be the case, it is more of a message of support for the B6 side and their overall approach than anything else.

Many continue to voice their displeasure and are irate over the fact that Garnacho wore a jersey of another club. In truth, the Argentina international is no more a player at United than anyone else on the Villa roster at the moment.

Garnacho's days at United have been numbered for quite some time. Now, it is only a question of the formalities to seal his departure from Manchester.

His wearing of the Rashford Villa jersey, however, is much more telling of what he witnessed from his friend and former teammate.

While at Manchester, he witnessed the interactions with Rashford and directly experienced for himself what it is like to no longer truly be a part of the squad. Contrast that with how Rashford has played and been treated at Villa, and it isn't particularly comparable.

This faux outrage from a team that has made their intention to see him out as soon as possible and to no longer want him at the club is beyond silly. It is reasonable, and Garnacho cannot be blamed for being attracted to a club that treats players well and helps them to achieve, even after other landing spots proved to be unable to make the most of their talents.

Only Garnacho will truly know if it was intentional or what the message could have been. If there truly is an indirect meaning, and the winger wasn't just simply showing support for his friend, then that only speaks to how much of an impression Villa has left on his teammate, friend, Rashford.
