The season is already well underway for Aston Villa. While the campaign has not started anywhere near as well as what many were expecting, the latest boost from the most recent acquisitions should help.

In some ways, the first match away to Everton marks the beginning of a renewed start for the club. Yes, Villa are currently behind the eight-ball, but there is more than enough time for the side to make up lost ground. Currently occupying a relegation spot, this squad is plenty good enough to once again be in the race for a European spot by the end of the season.

Particularly after watching how Ezri Konsa and Morgan Rogers played for England, there is plenty of reason to feel more optimistic than not regarding the immediate future for Villa.

In reality, Villa simply needed a reset. This has come, of course, in the form of the international break.

Continuing the good form of the players from the players' national team duties is something that Villa supporters will hope to see from the side.

Hopeful outlook for Aston Villa

There can often be a seemingly random development that occurs that ends up resulting in a good run of play in competitive sports. While many look to momentum, the past is hardly destiny with any 90-minute match. Although Villa have not played particularly well to this point, between the week away from the action and the inevitable nature of things finally going Villa's way, it is more likely than not that Unai Emery's side will show that they have things figured out.

The upcoming match against Everton will be an important one for Emery's side. There has not been a lot that has gone right, but the next Premier League fixture gives Villa the chance to get things back on track.
