There was some hope that Youri Tielemans would be able to return to the Aston Villa side soon. As shared on X by Jacob Tanswell, however, the Belgium international is not going to be able to make a return until November at the earliest.

The latest reports indicate that Tielemans will not be able to rejoin the fold until at least five weeks from now.

This is a significant development in that, arguably, Villa's most important and impactful player will still be unable to support the midfield. Winning the middle of the park is essential for every team. Although Villa have started to play better, it is not lost on anyone that the beginning of the campaign did not exactly inspire.

Considering how the side has performed as of late without Tielemans, some were led to believe that the Belgian's inclusion would be able to be the needed boost to continue the good run of form and to once again make a push for a Champions League spot in the Premier League.

Instead, for now, Villa will continue to fight on without Tielemans. Something like this can potentially serve as a mental setback for the side as a whole.

Tough break for Aston Villa

It was known that Tielemans was close to returning. Now, the latest news effectively serves as another injury blow, possibly dampening morale at the training grounds.

Unai Emery is going to have to find a way to once again navigate around an unforeseen circumstance. When Tielemans does make his return, though, all supporters of the claret and blue will be exceptionally grateful to watch the Belgium international take the pitch again for Villa.
