Aston Villa are interested in a move for Besiktas youngster Semih Kılıçsoy, according to reporter Gökmen Özcan on X.
Unai Emery's side could face competition to land the highly-rated teenager though with fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur mentioned as a potential suitor, along with the likes of Ajax and Borussia Dortmund.
Kılıçsoy, 18, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and Besiktas could face a battle to keep hold of him amid attention from elsewhere. They have until the end of the transfer window next week to retain his services.
The prospect played for Gop Venüs and Arnavutköy Yaylaspor before linking up with his current club back in 2016. He has since risen up through the academy ranks and has been a regular at various youth levels over recent times.
Kılıçsoy was handed his first-team debut in February last year in a Super Lig clash against Antalyaspor and hasn't looked back since. He penned a contract extension earlier this month running until 2028 meaning Besiktas are under no pressure to cash in on him just yet and can wait for the right offer to arrive.
He has made 18 appearances in all competitions so far this term and has chipped in with six goals and a single assist.
Aston Villa could see him as one for the future as they look to bolster their ranks further. However, other clubs have been linked meaning they would have to see off competition to win this particular race.
