Watching Marco Asensio, Jhon Durán, Diego Carlos, and Leon Bailey on the same team is something that Aston Villa fans would have enjoyed being able to look forward to. While it won't be under Unai Emery, that prospect appears to be now that much closer to being a reality.
Multiple outlets, including Foot Mercato's Santi Aouna, have revealed that the Jamaica international is currently engaged in talks to join Fenerbahçe.
Asensio has already joined the Süper Lig recently from PSG, and Durán is on loan there after an agreement was reached with his parent club, Al-Nassr.
This will be one of the more intriguing attacks to watch outside of the Premier League if the move for Bailey does end up coming to pass. Currently slated to participate in the third round of Champions League qualification. While aiming to qualify for Europe's top competition, they will also look to unseat Galatasaray as the current domestic league winners.
For Bailey, this move will provide closure for the Jamaican winger. He is coming off a year in which the season did not go as he would have liked. Injuries had a major part to play, as that proved to be a significant part that he attempted to overcome. Now, he is on his way to potentially joining José Mourinho in Türkiye.
Fresh start away from Aston Villa
Bailey is only 27 and can still offer a side a lot in the attack. The winger may have wanted or preferred a stay in the EPL. Considering the options and where the Jamaican is in his career, this could end up resulting in a move that sees the most of his efforts and is able to revive his current stock.
Though unofficial at the moment, it appears that Bailey's time at Villa will indeed be coming to an end. Supporters will remember what he did on the pitch and some special moments that he produced while in the claret and blue.
