The transfer period could not end without another rumor of an Aston Villa player leaving the club. Of all the potential candidates to leave Villa, Youri Tielemans would seem like the absolute least likely candidate to consider for such a designation. Yet, sports presenter ZAFER ERTAŞ shared on X that Fenerbahçe are keen on a move for the midfielder.

That is all well and good. Many are keen on winning the lottery, for example. Oftentimes what is desired and what is actually realistic are two entirely different things altogether.

Based on the social media report, the Süper Lig side would be of interest in the event of their making Champions League. While most players do indeed have the ambition of wanting to play in Europe's highest competition, that alone would not be enough for the Belgium international to want to leave the situation in B6.

Tielemans has carved himself a role as an ironman for Villa. Competing in the Premier League and helping the side compete to overcome the final obstacle that stands in the way of a trophy is too much for Tielemans to consider leaving Villa for a season. After all, there is not a guarantee that after the current season Fenerbahçe would be able to qualify for Champions League again. As is, it remains in flux as to if they will be able to make it into CL for the current campaign.

Same talking point regardng Aston Villa players

It had appeared that this tiresome talking point had fizzled out. Somehow, though, it has found a second life, and others are now once again claiming that by virtue of Villa being in Europa League, there will be a strong desire for players to leave.

If the string of contract extensions is not enough to prove this faulty logic invalid, then there is likely nothing that will be able to convince others.
