There is a continued insistence from many to place the current Aston Villa players into any other club. Although a lot of such talk has died down due to the number of moves that have already happened, there are voices still expressing their opinion of Ollie Watkins soon being sent somewhere else, away from Unai Emery.

According to these speculations, the relationship between the striker and manager is so far strained that it is not going to be salvageable moving forward. These beliefs make it so that Villa are essentially forced to give up on Watkins and get whatever they can for him.

Notice in these types of claims how the result is always Villa getting rid of a highly desired player for a discount rate. Almost as if the motivation of these types of statements is for their own club to be able to gain a top talent for a cheap bargain price.

Only Emery and Watkins will truly know if there is something there between the two that can't be mended. Most likely, however, such claims are either invented, stemming from nothing, or highly exaggerated.

Too much going for Watkins with Aston Villa

Watkins is playing well and enjoys the side that is in B6. He understands, as most witnessed last season, how many options there were at Villa throughout the lineup. Of course, the England international wanted to be a part of each match and play the full 90 minutes in each game.

With few exceptions, players generally wish that the person in charge would give them more time on the pitch.

In truth, this is a situation in which Watkins has found a great home for himself in B6, and Emery values what Watkins can offer at the striker position. Both are passionate, high-achieving people. There will be times when personalities clash. For the most part, this is a relationship that works, and it would take a lot for Watkins' time at Villa to end at this point in his career.
