There have been multiple Aston Villa Women hearing their names called for the upcoming international fixtures. Sabrina D'Angelo is the latest to find out that she will have to put any post-WSL holiday plans on hold.

She will join a goalkeeping corps that includes Kailen Sheridan and Lysianne Proulx. Canada will face Haiti in two home friendlies. The games are set to take place on May 31st in Winnipeg and June 3rd in Montréal.

While with this Canadian side, it is a chance for Casey Stoney's side to continue to work on their chemistry together and sharpen their continued skills in a year that will only feature exhibitions. With matches against Costa Rica and the U.S. national team slated to take place as well, these are valuable opportunities for the Canadians to get a look at how they'll potentially look to line up moving forward under their new manager.

The current Villa No. 1, D'Angelo, has had a good end to the season for her club. Coming up big on a repeated basis, it is not a surprise that she has received another call-up for CANWNT.

Great senior team action for Aston Villa Women keeper

During the final stretch in particular that saw AVWFC  win, including against teams such as Liverpool and Arsenal, the keeper made a number of critical saves at key moments to ensure and preserve the five-game winning streak.

Having just completed the first season of her two-year deal since joining from the Gunners, D'Angelo has done well between the posts for the Villans. While her national team looks to keep up with their form, so too will the Villa keeper individually, ready to help Villa progress in the league when she returns after the summer.
