It had to be, really. Aston Villa Women forward Chasity Grant has been in excellent form to close the WSL season. With a direct goal involvement in each of the last four matches, it does not come as a surprise to any Villa supporter that the 24-year-old has been named to the Dutch international roster for their upcoming fixtures.

The Netherlands will face Germany on May 30th and then host Scotland on June 3rd. Against the Scots, Grant will have the chance to go up against AVWFC's Rachel Corsie, as she, too, received a call-up. Both Villans will look to have a role in their team's Nations League success.

For the Netherlands, they are currently level on points with Germany in Group A1. In what could very likely end up proving to be a pivotal first match of the two, the Oranje Leeuwinnen will have an excellent opportunity to prove themselves against one of the best teams in Europe.

Then, too, during Andries Jonker's final months in charge, it will be the Women's EURO 2025 competition shortly thereafter. Holland is in Group D. With France, England, and Wales, Grant will have the chance to face two more Villans, as Missy Bo Kearns and Soffia Kelly have also made their respective national teams.

AVWFC supporters have seen what Grant can do. In terms of pace and finishing ability, there is a reason why she showed such tremendous form during the incredible run toward the end.

Versatile as well, she can play up top or on the wing. Regardless, when Grant is on the pitch, she finds a way to contribute either by scoring herself or finding a teammate with a pass. Having received her first senior team call-up with the Netherlands in 2022, Grant will look to build on her current international resume and help guide this team toward their goals.
