Thomas Tuchel is continuing to implement his system as the England manager. Two Aston Villa players will feature in the starting XI when the Three Lions face Andorra in their World Cup qualifier in Barcelona on Saturday.
Although Ollie Watkins will be forced to miss the rest of the international break camp due to an undisclosed injury, Villa fans being able to watch two other Villans play a significant part in the squad will come as an aspect to look forward to.
Ezri Konsa is slated to get the start at center back, according to The Telegraph's Matt Law. The reporter also shared that Morgan Rogers will be seen from the opening whistle in a midfield role in the match.
Joining Konsa in the back line will be Reece James and Curtis Jones at outside backs. The other center back for the match has not been disclosed. In the midfield, Declan Rice will begin on the bench. This means that Rogers will instead be joined by Cole Palmer, Harry Kane, and Noni Madueke.
Possibilities to look out for from the Aston Villa players
As can be seen from the number of injuries, this will not exactly be a full-strength England squad. Even so, there is plenty of quality for Tuchel to line up with. Although unconfirmed at this point by the roster selection from the manager himself, a lot is pointing to the two Villan players featuring in a heavy role in Barcelona on Saturday.
This is a match in which earning the three points is the first objective, but that is expected in this outing. There will be a strong added onus on whoever is on the pitch to have a good showing for the new England boss and show that they can quickly adapt to the new manager's system and philosophy.
