It is impossible to know what exactly is going on in the minds of the Aston Villa players. From that fan' perspective, it can be frustrating to see other clubs be fairly active and more aggressive in the transfer market.
Looking at things from a likely player's point of view, however, there is a lot of good that comes with minimal signings taking place so far this period. There are, of course, some newcomers, so that it won't be an entirely identical squad. For the most part, it will be a roster that has a lot of carryover.
This brings a lot of familiarity and knowledge that can be used from a lot of time together already that will allow Unai Emery's side to hit the ground running.
For those in the dressing room, having the more-or-less same squad does give a little added boost and excitement among those who have already been in B6. They have experience and know how good they can be already.
Continuity to help Aston Villa
There are the departures of those who were on loan, who certainly added their boost to the lineup following their inclusion in the team. In general, this will be a similar cast that will be eager to show that they can overcome the final hurdles and achieve something tangible together.
Although there can be a lot of glee over someone new coming in, there is a lot of benefit to Villa's current approach in the transfer window. It is something that has been forced through SCR and PSR. While the club would probably be like most other clubs in usual financial circumstances, there is also a good chance that Emery and Monchi would more or less have the same approach even if the guidelines weren't working against them at the moment.
