The continued infatuation of Aston Villa players by other clubs has to stop. It would be well within bounds for other sides to make an honest offer and try to make a realistic agreement come to fruition. That is not what is being played out by any stretch, however.
In general, those in the media continue to discuss the Villans as easily acquired options for any side to potentially boost their side with. The thought of Villa possibly finding a workaround PSR in the same nature as Chelsea and others have done before is not even entertained.
Even if selling someone from the club ends up being a necessary step, it won't be a move that the club takes lightly. This cavalier mindset of everyone being halfway out the door is disrespectful of the work that is being done at Villa.
Although PSR is a real concern for the club to always need to take into consideration, it is not so dire of a situation that it means that the club will have to blindly accept every lowball offer that comes its way.
Many are treating Villa like a selloff project that will inevitably have empty shelves throughout the store. Certainly, the need to hit the PSR threshold is that dire that multiple significant players on the roster will be forced to ditch their claret and blue kit.
Regardless of Aston Villa's PSR status
Whether it is Morgan Rogers or Emiliano Martínez, more likely than not, they are still in B6. On the off chance that they are indeed lured away from Villa, it better be for a sizable amount that is reflective of their value and play for years to come.
In order for Villa to give up cornerstone players, there needs to be a sizable, significant offer. Absent something like that from being on the table, all of these reports and rumors are complete non-starters.
