Many may downplay the chance of Aston Villa acquiring Alejandro Garnacho. It is something that should not be dismissed out of hand, however. The Argentina international is someone who fits the type of profile that has done well under Unai Emery.
Garnacho is someone who has shown his capabilities, and he is a player who can play at the needed Premier League level. A falling out has taken place between him and Ruben Amorim, and his status at Manchester United is far from unknown. The club will actively look to try to ease his departure. Garnacho has played his last for United.
Something like this does not always come into play, but it might help to facilitate a move to Villa in this specific instance. Fabrizio Romano shared on X that the winger wants to remain in the Premier League.
In these types of negotiations, the bigger a player's profile, the more likely they are to get whatever it is that they are looking for. Agents and the player themselves can always attempt to make things difficult in the event of something being offered that is truly not desired by the respective party.
Limited EPL options could see Garnacho join Aston Villa
At this point, there do not appear to be too many potential EPL landing spots. Garnacho may ultimately be forced to change his stance. This becomes more true when considering how unlikely United are to agree to a loan deal.
In any event, for Garnacho, he has stated his preference, and depending on how Monchi enters discussions, that could play into the hands of Villa in bringing the Argentinian to the club.
Regardless, a move of that amount cannot take place if it is to be Villa until after June 30. With a fresh PSR window to work with, there would be a further increased opportunity to bring Garnacho into the Villa attack.
