Aston Villa will play Hibernian or FC Luzern in the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off round set to take place later this month.
Villa are set to compete on the European stage for the first time in over a decade this season but must formally qualify for the tournament through a two-legged play-off tie. The play-off round draw took place on Monday, August 7.
Hibernian and FC Luzern will meet in the two-legged Qualifying Third Round over the next week for the right to face Villa on August 24 and August 31.
Should Villa win their play-off round tie, they would enter the Group Stage phase of the tournament. The winner of the Europa Conference League qualifies for Europa League competition the following season.
Villa last played in a European competition at the start of the 2010/11 season. They were defeated by Rapid Vienna, 3-1 on aggregate, in the Europa League play-off round.
