Between Emiliano Martínez and now apparently Youri Tielemans, every Aston Villa player is readily available for other teams to poach. If all reports were to be believed, the Saudi League is taking every player currently and recently removed from their prime in the Premier League.
Even with everything, it ultimately takes two parties to tango. By all means, if Martínez or Tielemans wanted to make the jump to Saudi Arabia, there would be clubs more than willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Until there is something concrete from one of the players directly, there isn't any reason to believe that these mentioned Villa players specifically would entertain leaving B6. These are two of the best at their respective positions. Their leaving while at the apex of their powers would not be appropriate for the sport.
Martínez has consistently been a top keeper in the world, and Tielemans is one of the best midfielders on the planet. The Belgian has made a strong case, for example, for making the Team of the Season. His exclusion from that list would be a complete snub.
There is a lot to strive for at Villa. Considering their roles under Unai Emery, there aren't any push factors that would indicate either player even wanting to leave AVFC.
Timing is not right for Aston Villa to leave right now
Certainly down the line, there is a world in which Martínez or Tielemans do go to Saudi Arabia or the MLS. They are, after all, two outstanding players with big names who would be able to bring a lot to a developing league.
Now, however, is not the time to take any consideration like that seriously. One day, there could be a significant high-value signing for both of those players. For 2025-2026, their rightful place is to stay at Villa and continue to push for the overall goals of the club.
