History is repeating itself as of late with Manchester United players joining Aston Villa. It has already been seen from Marcus Rashford what good a fresh change of scenery can do for players. Harvey Elliott is already set to join. Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Jadon Sancho will join the claret and blue on loan.
Allegedly, Emiliano Martínez would have joined Manchester United, but Sancho was not willing to join the club on a permanent basis as of this moment. It appears that Sancho is using this opportunity to fully give himself a reset.
Players tend to enjoy their stay in Villa. If his spell in B6 proves to be acceptable, it is certainly on the board for the attacker to desire to stay later on.
For now, he is providing some needed depth and an extra player for a side that desperately needs a reinvigoration in the squad. Particularly in the attack, the Villa side has been lacking. With this move, however, Villa have obtained someone who has a lot of potential.
It is certainly possible that the new club will end up proving to be helpful for Sancho.
Certainly the Englishman will have a clean slate with this move. Villa is in desperate need of someone who can provide a boost to the attack. Sancho will have the chance to provide the needed difference to a Premier League side at the moment.
Good move from Aston Villa
From Villa's perspective, the club gets the chance to bring someone on who is eager to prove himself at this level while being able to evaluate his potential in the side before attempting to commit to the player for the long term.
This is something of an unexpected move, but considering the relatively low risk, it is overall a good late move from Villa during this transfer period.
