According to a report by Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus could decide to keep hold of Aston Villa-linked attacker Matias Soule this summer if Federico Chiesa ends up leaving the club this summer.

Unai Emery's side have been credited with an interest in the attacker along with fellow Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Newcastle United ahead of the next transfer window, as per CalcioMercato. Championship promotion hopefuls Southampton are also said to be in the frame for his signature, although their chances of getting him will depend on what league they are in next season.

Soule, 20, has spent this campaign out on loan from Juventus at Frosinone to get some experience under his belt. He has been a hit with the Serie A side and has scored 10 goals in 24 games in all competitions.

The Argentina youth international may have been identified by Aston Villa as someone to compete with Ollie Watkins for a place up front next term. He has bags of potential and has the capacity to get better down the line.

However, Juventus have a big decision to make on what to do with him when he returns from his stint away and his situation lies in the hands of his parent club right now amid interest from England.

Soule moved to Italy back in 2020 after rising up through the ranks as a teenager at Vélez Sarsfield. He played 19 times for Juve last term and found the net once.
