Tottenham Hotspur want to sign former Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene from Hull City this summer, according to a report by TEAMtalk.

Spurs are interested in luring the attacker back to the Premier League at the end of this season.

Philogene, 22, was sold by Aston Villa last year but the Midlands outfit hold an option to buy him back if Hull are promoted to the top flight.

The Londoner has been in fine form for the Tigers so far this term and has scored eight goals and assisted six in his 20 league appearances under the guidance of Liam Rosenior.

Hull will face a battle to keep hold of him regardless of whether they are able to claw themselves out of the Championship. They are currently sat in 6th position after their 1-1 draw at home to West Brom last time out.

Philogene's exit from Aston Villa was a surprise and he was expected to play a part under Unai Emery in this campaign after featuring in pre-season.

He moved to Villa Park in 2018 and went on to play six times for their first-team as a youngster. He also had loan spells away in the Football League at Stoke City and Cardiff City to get some experience under his belt.

His switch to Hull has turned out to be the best move for him and his focus right now will be on his duties for the Tigers, with Spurs the latest club to be linked with a move.
