How is Wesley getting on at Stoke City since Aston Villa exit?
By Harry Mail
Aston Villa striker Wesley was allowed to leave on a permanent basis last summer and was snapped up by Stoke City.
The Potters handed him a one-year deal after persuading him to drop into the Championship.
Wesley, who made one cap for Brazil earlier in his career, spent four years at Villa Park from 2019 to 2023 but struggled to make an impact during his time in the Midlands.
How is Wesley getting on following Aston Villa exit?
It has been a tough spell for the attacker at Stoke since his exit from Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old has made 23 appearances in all competitions so far for the Potters, 20 of which have come in the league, and he has failed to score.
It has been a difficult campaign so far for the Staffordshire outfit and they are on their second manager in Steven Schumacher after sacking Alex Neil.
Stoke have been sucked into a relegation battle and are sat in 19th place, three points above the drop zone. They have 13 games left to avoid slipping into League One following their 1-0 home loss to Coventry City last time out.
They are back in action with an away trip to Wales to face Cardiff City.
Aston Villa days
Wesley played 26 times for Aston Villa after signing for them in 2019 from Club Brugge. He chipped in with six goals.
He also had loan spells away at Club Brugge, Internacional and Levante to get some game time under his belt.
