Aston Villa gave striker Keinan Davis the green light to leave on a permanent basis last summer.
The 26-year-old ended up joining Udinese in Italy, despite being linked with Hull City in the Championship.
Davis, who is a former England youth international, spent eight years on the books at Villa Park before heading out the exit door for a new chapter in his career.
How is Davis getting on at Udinese?
The Stevenage-born man has struggled with injury since making the switch to Serie A.
He has played only once so far this season and made his debut last month against Lazio.
Davis penned a four-year deal with his current club so still has plenty of time on his side to get into the team and start firing.
Aston Villa days
He played for Stevenage and Biggleswade Town before Aston Villa landed him in 2017 as a youngster.
Davis went on to play 87 times for the Midlands outfit and scored seven goals. He was part of the team who were promoted from the play-offs under former boss Dean Smith back in 2019 and helped them reach the League Cup final the year after.
He had loan spells away at Nottingham Forest and Watford in his latter years in the second tier to get some game time under his belt.
Aston Villa's decision to cut ties with him last August freed up space and funds in their ranks to bring in other players. His Udinese spell hasn't gone to plan just yet.
