Former Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso has been snapped up Hednesford Town in non-league, as announced by their official club website.
The 33-year-old, who is a former England youth international, started his career at Villa Park.
He rose up through the academy ranks of the Midlands outfit and was a regular at various youth levels.
The Birmingham-born man penned his first professional contract in 2008 and made his debut at the tender age of 17 later that year. He went on to make 52 appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions and chipped in with nine goals.
Delfouneso also had loan spells away at Burnley, Leicester City, Blackpool and Coventry City to get some experience under his belt in the Football League.
He cut ties with Aston Villa on a permanent basis in 2014 and went on to have permanent stints at Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers, Bury, Swindon Town, Bolton Wanderers, Bradford City and Accrington Stanley.
The forward then dropped into non-league in 2022 when AFC Fylde cme calling in the National League North in the last campaign.
He then spent the first-half of this season with Chorley but is now embarking on a new challenge at Hednesford.
Delfouneso's new club are 19th in the Northern Premier League and face a battle to stay up this year. They are six points above bottom club 1874 Northwich with a game in hand as they prepare for their upcoming match against Mossley at home this weekend with their latest signing in line for his debut.
