Aston Villa loan man Seb Revan has caught the eye on loan at Rotherham United this season, despite their problems in the Championship.

The Millers are rock bottom of the second tier and appear to be heading back down to League One unless they can turn their fortunes around fast under the guidance of former Wigan Athletic boss Leam Richardson.

Revan, 20, was given the green light to link up with the South Yorkshire outfit last summer and has taken his opportunity at the New York Stadium this term, despite his club's troubles on the pitch.

They have only won three games in this campaign but the youngster will be learning a lot from his time there.

The West Bromwich-born man is getting regular first-team football at a decent level and that will only boost his development before he heads back to Aston Villa.

His parent club will have a decision to make on what to do with him in the next transfer window, whether that be keep hold of him or loan him to another team to get more experience.

Revan is one of the first names on the team sheet at Rotherham and had a tough night on Tuesday as he marked his former Aston Villa teammate Jaden Philogene against Hull City.

The left-back has risen up through the youth ranks at Villa Park and has made six senior appearances to date. He has also had temporary stints away at Grimsby Town and Hereford in non-league the past.
