Aston Villa have made a new offer for Middlesbrough attacker Morgan Rogers, according to a report by the Independent.
Unai Emery is keen to lure the Championship attacker to the Premier League before the end of the transfer window.
Rogers, 21, left Manchester City on a permanent basis last summer after loan spells away from the Etihad Stadium at Lincoln City, AFC Bournemouth and Blackpool to get some experience under his belt.
The former West Brom academy man never made a senior appearance for City and had to leave Pep Guardiola's side to get some regular football. However, he may have done enough to land himself a move back to the top flight during the first-half of this season at Boro by scoring six goals in all competitions.
However, Michael Carrick's side have been holding firm so far and have stopped Aston Villa in their tracks.
The Villas see the winger as a long-term option though and have made another attempt to lure him back to the Midlands.
Emery's men have had a break from the action this weekend and face Chelsea away next Friday in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge as they look to progress into the next round.
