Aston Villa have completed the signing of Kosta Nedeljković from Red Star Belgrade, as announced by their official club website.
The defender has joined the Premier League side for an undisclosed fee with the length of his contract also unknown at this stage.
Nedeljković, 18, will spend the rest of this season with Red Star before linking up with his new team in the summer.
He has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date and has risen up through their academy ranks. He was a regular for them at various youth levels before breaking into their first-team last year following a loan spell away at Grafičar Beograd to get some experience.
The Serbia youth international has made 12 league appearances so far this term and will be eager to get more minutes under his belt before he officially heads to Aston Villa.
This is a smart signing by Unai Emery's side and he will be a good long-term option for them in defence. He can provide competition to Matty Cash down the line.
The fact he is getting regular football at such a young age over in Serbia means his development will be getting boosted before he comes to England.
Aston Villa had a break from the action this past weekend and return to the pitch this Friday with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the FA Cup as they look to progress into the next round of the competition.
