Aston Villa are keen on Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to a report by HITC Sport.

Unai Emery's side are being linked with a swoop for the Championship ace along with fellow Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion and Wolves.

Ndidi, 27, is out of contract at the end of this season and he is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the Foxes as they chase down promotion from the second tier at the first time of asking under former Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca. They were relegated from the top flight last year and are battling it out at the top of the league with rivals Leeds United and Ipswich Town.

The Nigeria international, who has 56 caps under his belt for his country so far in his career, is due to become a free agent in late June as things stand and has a big decision to make regarding his future with various clubs keeping tabs on his situation right now.

Leicester signed him back in 2016 in the same year that they won the league title against the odds and he has since made 265 appearances in all competitions during his time at the King Power Stadium, scoring 15 goals.

Ndidi helped the Foxes win the FA Cup back in 2021 after they beat Chelsea in the final at Wembley, Prior to his switch to England, he played in Belgium for Genk and scored seven goals in 83 outings.
