Aston Villa will demand a fee in the region of £100million for Douglas Luiz this summer amid interest from Liverpool and Barcelona, according to a report by Football Insider.

Luiz, 25, has been a key player since making the move to Villa Park in July 2019 and is under contract until June 2026 meaning his current club are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon unless the right bid comes in for his services.

The Brazil international, who has made 11 caps for his country to date, has made 181 appearances for the Midlands outfit in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 19 goals, seven of which have come this season under Unai Emery.

Luiz was snapped up by Manchester City in 2017 as a youngster from Vasco de Gama but he never made a senior appearance for the current Premier League champions. Instead, he was shipped out on loan to their partner club Girona over in Spain to get some experience under his belt before Pep Guardiola decided to let him join Aston Villa permanently.

He hasn't looked back since leaving the Etihad Stadium and if he is to move on in the future, it will be for a big price.
