Aston Villa keeping tabs on progress of Turkish Super Lig prodigy

Aston Villa are following Semih Kılıçsoy closely at Besiktas along with Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt, as per a report by Turkish news outlet A Spor.
Unai Emery's side have missed the chance to sign him this winter following the end of the transfer window last week. They will have to wait until the summer now if they are to make a swoop for him.
Kılıçsoy, who is 18-years-old, is being tipped for a bright future in the game, hence why so many clubs are said to be keeping tabs on his situation.
He played for Gop Venüs and Arnavutköy Yaylaspor before linking up with Besiktas in 2016. The teenager has since risen up through the academy ranks of the Turkish Super Lig outfit and has been a regular for them at various youth levels over recent times.
The Turkey Under-19 international penned his first professional deal back in 2022. His contract was then extended last month by four years running until 2028 meaning his current club are under no immediate pressure to cash in on him anytime soon.
Kılıçsoy made his debut in February last year in a league clash against Antalyaspor. The attacker has since gone on to make 23 appearances for Besikas' first-team and has scored eight goals.
They will face a battle to keep him in the future and Aston Villa could see him as someone to bolster their attacking department down the line. However, they would have to bat away interest from elsewhere.
