Leon Bailey is reportedly poised to sign a new contract at Aston Villa, as per a report by BirminghamLive.
The winger, 26, has become a key player for Unai Emery's side and is set to be rewarded with fresh terms. His current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2025.
Bailey is a Jamaica international with 30 caps under his belt so far in his career.
Aston Villa swooped to land him back in 2021 and he has since made 85 appearances for them in all competitions over the past two seasons-and-a-half, scoring 16 goals, 10 of which have come in this campaign.
The attacker started out at Liefering and AS Trencin before Genk signed him in 2015. He then broke into the first-team of the Belgian side as a youngster and chipped in with 16 goals in 77 matches.
Bayer Leverkusen then snapped him up and he spent five years in the Bundesliga. He found the net on 39 goals in 156 outings before making the move to England.
It initially took Bailey some time to adapt to life at Aston Villa and he only scored once in his first term. However, the club stuck by him and he has now become one of their most prized assets.
Securing him to an extension will be a massive boost going into the upcoming months. Emery's men battered Sheffield United 5-0 at Bramall Lane last time out and were 4-0 up at half-time after a blistering first 45 minutes.
