Aston Villa are interested in Juventus striker Matias Soule along with fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, according to a report by Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.
The 20-year-old, who is an Argentina youth international, has spent this season on loan at Frosinone and has scored 10 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions.
Unai Emery could see him as someone to bolster his attacking options ahead of the next campaign and compete with Ollie Watkins and Jhon Duran for a place up top.
Soule played in his native country with spells at Kimberley and Vélez Sarsfield before signing for Juventus in 2020.
He has since played 21 games for the Italian giants and has scored once.
The prospect, who can play as a central striker or on either wing if needed, was given the green light to link up with Frosinone last summer to get some experience under his belt.
Juventus have a decision to make on what to do with him when he returns from his temporary spell away. They need to decide whether to keep him in the squad for next term or cash in on him to another club.
Aston Villa are being linked with a swoop but there appears to be competition for his signature from Newcastle and Crystal Palace. Emery's men are back in action this weekend with a home clash against Manchester United as they look to bounce back from their 3-1 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup last time out.
