Aston Villa secured a 2-0 win at home to Wolves this weekend in the Premier League.
Unai Emery's side have boosted their hopes of reaching the Champions League following their latest victory.
They took the lead in the first-half through winger Moussa Diaby and led by a single goal at half-time.
Aston Villa then doubled their lead after the interval when defender Ezri Konsa found the net.
The hosts held on for an impressive clean sheet and managed to keep Wolves at bay.
Emery was pleased with the performance and the result and said after the match, as per the official club website: "I’m very happy.
“Here in Villa Park it’s special to play, especially after we lost against Tottenham in the last Premier League game we played here.
“It was very important to recover our structure, our gameplan, focusing and being successful in our way. We started a little bit soft and they were dominating the match.
“Progressively we were getting better and then we created chances and didn’t concede a lot in 90 minutes. I think we deserved to win.
“It was very important today to win with our supporters here.”
The ex-Arsenal manager added: '“We are in day 30 and we have 59 points. Now we are going to focus on the next match on Wednesday against Manchester City.
“We are as well going to try and enjoy today and to be together with our supporters enjoying these three points.
“It’s still being difficult in the way we are trying to get in the next few matches, but with some injuries and suspensions we have to support the players that are playing and get them comfortable in our structure.
“Today was fantastic for them.”
Next up for Aston Villa is an away trip to title chasing Manchester City.
