Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is on the radar of Bayern Munich, according to iMiaSanMia on X.

The Bundesliga giants have identified the Spaniard as a potential managerial candidate along with Brighton and Hove Albion's Robert de Zerbi.

Emery, 52, has done an impressive job with Aston Villa since taking over in 2022.

Bayern Munich currently have ex-Chelsea man Thomas Tuchel in charge but he is facing an uncertain long-term future. They are 2nd in the table behind Bayer Leverkusen and may well make a change at the end of the season.

Aston Villa will be desperate to keep hold of Emery but interest from elsewhere in him will be inevitable. His side are currently positioned in 4th place in the Premier League table and are chasing down a place in the Champions League with Tottenham Hotspur chasing them down.

Prior to his switch to Villa Park, he spent two years at Villarreal and won the Europa League.

The ex-Real Sociedad midfielder is a vastly experienced manager and has overseen 996 games so far from the dugout as he closes in on his 1,000 match.

He has also spells at Almeria, Valencia, Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, PSG and Arsenal in the past. His time with the latter didn't go to plan and he ended up being sacked by the Gunners in November 2019.

However, he has bounced back from his disappointing stint at the Emirates Stadium and wasn't afraid to move back to England for a second bite at the cherry.
