Ajax keen on player who Aston Villa have buy-back clause for

Ajax have become the latest club to be linked with former Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene at Hull City, as per the Daily Mail reporter Tom Collomosse on X.
The 22-year-old, who is an England Under-21 international, was sold by Unai Emery to the Tigers last summer but the Midlands outfit have an option to buy him back if they are in the same league in the future.
Philogene has been a hit with Liam Rosenior's side in the Championship this season and has helped them rise to 6th in the table as they eye promotion to the Premier League. He penned a five-year deal with the East Yorkshire side when he joined but they could face a battle to keep hold of him in the next transfer window.
The Londoner has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Hull in this campaign and has scored eight goals, one of which was a rabona away at Rotherham United earlier this winter which sent shockwaves across the country.
Philogene was on the books at Aston Villa from 2018 to 2023 and played six first-team games, as well as having loan spells away at Stoke City and Cardiff City in the Football League to help boost his development.
Ajax could see him as someone to bolster their attacking department in the Eredivisie. The Dutch may be able to provide the attacker with the chance to play in Europe down the league. They signed Chuba Akpom from Hull's league rivals Middlesbrough last summer.
