2. Ollie Watkins
Ollie Watkins is absolutely flying at the moment. He's been one of the best strikers in the Premier League this season and his numbers show he is the full package. At the time of writing this, the England striker has scored 11 league goals and provided 10 assists.
For context, his best season in a Villa shirt prior to this season was last season, where he scored 15 goals and provided six assists. So he has already equalled last season in terms of goal contributions and much like Bailey, he doesn't look like he'll stop any time soon.
What's most impressive about Watkins aside from the sheer numbers he's contributed to this season is the variety of his goals. He has not just scored regular tap-ins but he's scored some absolutely superb goals this season. Having this in his locker is terrific for Villa as a club because it means that even on the days where the players around Watkins aren't at their best, he is still capable of coming up with the goods.
As a EURO 2024 call-up could be on the cards for the dashing striker, let's hope he continues to score goals for fun as he is a credit to the team.
