Depending on what happens with Marcus Rashford, there are a good number of current Aston Villa players who are in an excellent position to feature for the England national team. Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Ezri Konsa have solidified their spot in the squad under Thomas Tuchel.

Jacob Ramsey is only 24 and could also work himself into the Three Lions senior team selection at some point. Depending on what happens at Liverpool, Villa fans could also look forward to watching Harvey Elliott play for the club and then England at the senior international level.

Elliott is currently helping the Under-21 side during the Euros in Slovakia. In all likelihood, due to the latest signings from the Reds, the 22-year-old will be on his way out and will be in search of a new landing spot. That is where Villa come in.

As published by Football Today, Villa are in a good position to sign Elliot from Liverpool. This would be something that makes sense for all parties. For Arne Slot, it would be difficult for him to keep all of the players happy when looking at those on the squad and the new signings.

By contrast, even with a roster that has full depth, Unai Emery has shown the ability to keep the rotations as such in order to keep the players mostly satisfied with their role at the club.

Elliott, furthermore, is someone who has shown the ability to compete in the Premier League and play well within a system. His craftiness and technical ability have produced many great moments while at Liverpool.

Elliott would bring an element that Aston Villa needs

While Villa have players that can have the same thing said about them, as could be seen during the critical matches that Villa lost, there can never be enough high-quality players who are able to produce something incredible.

A move is far from certain at this point, considering Elliott wants to be at a club where he can rely on playing time and be a valuable asset to the side. Villa would seemingly fit the bill.
