Aston Villa are back in action on Saturday when they face Hull City away from home. Unai Emery's men have lost both of their Premier League games so far, most recently losing to Arsenal on Monday night.

Villa have been busy in the transfer window, but they lost some important players this summer, and they need to find their feet quickly. As for Hull, they have shrugged off injury issues aplenty to start their first season back in the Premier League on fire, winning both of their first two games, against Man Utd and Coventry City.

Ahead of Saturday's clash on Humberside, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding Villa and Hull.

Jack Butland - Out

The experienced goalkeeper is absent after undergoing elbow surgery.

Eliot Matazo - Out

Matazo remains a long-term absentee after rupturing his ACL.

Joe Gelhardt - Doubt

Striker Joe Gelhardt is a doubt after missing the Man Utd game through an ankle issue.

Darko Gyabi - Out

Gyabi is expected to remain out as he continues to deal with a groin injury.

Charlie Hughes - Out

Hughes is also expected to miss out with an ongoing groin issue.

Hidemasa Morita - Out

Morita has picked up a calf injury, and he will miss this one after also missing the Man Utd game.

Oscar Zambrano - Out

Zambrano has a hamstring issue that is expected to keep him out.

Matty Jacob - Doubt

Jacob is a doubt with a hip injury that kept him out against Man Utd.

Amadou Onana - Out

Onana is out long term with an ACL rupture.

Joao Gomes - Out (Suspended)

Gomes is suspended for another couple of weeks due to his red card being due to violent conduct.

Johan Manzambi - Out

Manzambi is out for another week. Emery said just over a week ago: "Manzambi is starting to work on the field, and maybe he will need two weeks more to join us, more or less."

Brian Madjo - Doubt

There is an outside chance Madjo could return, so we will put him down as a doubt, but he is not likely to play. Emery said just over a week ago: "Madjo has a small injury, and I think he can get progressively better and start training with us as well, but he may need some days more."

Leon Goretzka - Fit

Emery has said of the new signing: "He needs more sessions to get his fitness and the level we want. But he's good, and hopefully, maybe Saturday, after three days, he should be available to be in the squad on the bench."
