Every year the roster from one Aston Villa Women team to another will look different. Earlier on Friday, the club announced the imminent exit of four players once the current WSL season ends. Rachel Corsie, Jordan Nobbs, Danielle Turner, and Maz Pacheco are having their contracts expire this summer, and with it, they will be looking for different clubs to play for moving forward.
With a number of stops, including the Seattle Reign, Utah Royals, and Kansas City Current, the Scottish international has been with Villa since 2022. The defender saw her miss a lot of the current campaign due to injury, but she was able to push through her injury setbacks and made a recent return to the pitch.
Nobbs has been in the midfield and has been a vital part of the engine in the middle of the park. The longtime Arsenal player joined AVWFC in 2023 and will likely look to continue to build on her WSL appearance record elsewhere.
Turner joined Villa in 2022 after spending a decade at Everton. Starting in over half of the fixtures for the club during the 2024/2025 season, Natalia Arroyo will look to replace someone who offered a steady presence in the back line.
Playing at left back and left wing-back, Pacheco was most recently at Reading and West Ham. The Philippines international has seen a steady run in the starting role under Arroyo and will look to build on that trust as a starting XI with her next manager.
Naturally, this is part of the sport, and all four of those mentioned will not have an issue finding a new home. Even so, each has played a special part in the season that has seen the club stave off relegation and now appear as one of the most in-form teams in the WSL. Their contributions for Villa this season will be appreciated as they move on to their next endeavors.
