Aston Villa's comeback win marks 5 victories in a row for Emery's side in all competitions, with the poor start to the season well and truly behind them.
A comeback was needed for the away side as Tottenham found the breakthrough just 5 minutes in through Rodrigo Bentancur.
Tottenham took control of the game and Villa slowly grew into the game throughout the half, patiently taking their time and trying to break Spurs down.
It took a wonder strike just before half time to level things. Morgan Rogers strike from range found the back of the net beautifully which brought Villa back on level terms.
The second half saw the game become end to end, with both sides creating chances but struggling to find the breakthrough.
Buendia continued his fine form off the bench for Villa, coming on and slotting one in the bottom corner from outside the box, with the keeper rooted.
This came after a fantastic long ball from Matty Cash and an even better touch from Lucas Digne.
Villa had made it 2-1 in the 77th minute, and managed to hold on until the final whistle, with Spurs bombardment in the last 15 minutes not enough for the home side to find an equaliser.
Post match, Emery praised Rogers for his hard work.
