Aston Villa are back in Champions League action on Tuesday night when they head to Camp Nou to take on Barcelona. Unai Emery's men have been in brilliant form in the Champions League, starting the league phase with three straight wins, but Barca are one of the competition's favourites and will offer a huge test.

Villa come into this one on the back of a frustrating draw with Fulham, and they will be hoping the Champions League can provide the platform for a fresh dose of confidence.

Barca thrashed Alaves over the weekend to bounce back from their El Clásico defeat to Real Madrid the week before. They remain top of LaLiga, but they have six points from a possible nine, coming into this one hoping to move level on points with Villa.

Ahead of the game, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Xavi Espart - Out

Espart is going to be out until some time in December due to an ankle issue

Roony Bardghji - Out

Bardghji ruptured his ACL and is going to be sidelined until some time in March.

Dani Olmo - Out

Olmo is going to be out for a couple of weeks with an adductor issue.

Andreas Christensen - Doubt

Christensen could return from his muscular issue here.

Ric Garcia - Doubt

The same applies to fellow centre-back Garcia.

Joules Koundé - Doubt

Koundé is likely to miss out here, but he has not been ruled out yet.

Amadou Onana - Out

Onana is out for the season with a ruptured ACL. Emery has said he is 'doing well', bit it will be a long process for the midfielder.

Matteo Ruggeri - Out

Ruggeri has a hamstring injury. When Emery last commented on the setback, he said he didn't know how long Ruggeri would be out for, but it's believed he will be out until early December.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Out

Wan-Bissaka has a hamstring injury that will likely keep him out for a few more days. He may have a chance of returning this weekend, or Villa could choose not to risk him and allow the full-back the whole international break to be sure he is ready to return.
