This makes it now the second Aston Villa Women center back in two days, but Anna Patten will also find herself busy in the upcoming weeks with her country's national team. Joining Noelle Maritz in being a part of the Nations League fixtures, the CB will look to make her usual impact during the competition.

Ireland will travel to Türkiye on May 30th and then host Slovenia on June 3rd. The Irish currently sit in second place in Group B2. At nine points, they are only three behind the group frontrunners, Slovenia, and will have a chance to close the gap early next month.

With the stakes increasing as a member of Group A, Ireland will have a chance to earn promotion depending on how the next fixtures end up faring. The 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil also isn't too far away. Between these matches and the upcoming friendlies against the USA national team in late June, this will be an excellent time to work on various aspects on the pitch and stay sharp for WC qualification.

AVWFC supporters know what to expect from Patten at this rate. She is a highly competent defender and is a good option to have on any team's back line.

Having made her first senior team call-up for the Irish side last year, Patten is already starting to build on her international resume. Like with Villa, she not only defends but can be seen scoring one herself and is especially a danger on set pieces.

For a summer that signifies a pause in the action in terms of a WSL standpoint, Villan supporters will be eager to watch their favorite players step onto the pitch over the summer as they perform for their home countries.

If her recent form is any indication, the Villa faithful will soon have some more noteworthy celebrations from the club's players' efforts away from Villa.
