Aston Villa now turn their attention back to the Premier League after another Champions League win during the week when they beat Viking at home.
Unai Emery's men are turning their season around, now winning five of their last six games across all competitions. As for City, they are going very well, currently top of the league having won all of their seven Premier League games so far, and they also won in the Champions League during the week, but a serious points deduction hangs over their heads.
Antoine Semenyo - Out
Semenyo is going to be out until Christmas time with a knee issue. Maresca has said: "In the first moment, we expected a worst injury. After yesterday's scan, we will feel better. It will be eight weeks, so when he is back in December, it will be like a new player. Not muscular. To lose Antoine, or any player, is not good."
Mateo Kovacic - Doubt
Maresca has said: "Yeah, we have a session this afternoon. They can be all of them available or not. In terms of still doubt, yesterday, they were all improving, and we see this afternoon."
Nico O'Reilly - Doubt
That same update was given of O'Reilly.
Matheus Nunes - Doubt
And of Nunes, too. He is also a question mark but could return.
Amadou Onana - Out
Onana is out for the season after suffering a ruptured ACL during the summer. Providing an update of sorts recently, Unai Emery said: "Onana is [out] for a long time, but is progressing very well."
Matteo Ruggeri - Out
Ruggeri is going to be absent until early December with a hamstring issue. Emery confirmed: "We don’t know exactly how long it’s going to be, but it will be some weeks that he’s going to be out, more than one month."
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Out
Wan-Bissaka also has a hamstring issue. Emery has confirmed: "Aaron has an injury as well, more or less we expect three or four weeks."
Modou Cisse - Doubt
Cisse has a chance of returning here. Emery has said: "Cisse are starting to train with us."
Johan Manzambi - Doubt
Manzambi missed the Champions League game with a 'small injury', as described by Emery, but he could feature here.
