Aston Villa are back in action on Wednesday when they take on AFC Bournemouth away from home in the Carabao Cup fourth round. Unai Emery's men have been in brilliant form of late, winning six of their last seven games across all competitions.
They beat Manchester City over the weekend to move within four points of the top four. As for Bournemouth, they are in 13th in the Premier League, but they are coming into this one on the back of two superb 3-0 wins, one over AC Milan in the Europa League and another over Manchester United in the Premier League.
Ahead of the cup clash, we have rounded up the latest injury news surrounding both sides.
Alex Toth - Out
Toth is out for a good few weeks with a hamstring issue. Marco Rose said last week: "Of course, we have to assess the injury of Totti, but it looks like a hamstring injury, and maybe we miss him a little bit longer, but we're going to see."
Julian Araujo - Out
Araujo had a pretty serious hamstring issue and is still working his way back. He will be out until late November.
Alex Scott - Out
Scott is out for a couple more weeks with his hamstring issue. Rose said last week: "We said we're going to go out on the pitch, and we have to wait [to see] how he responds on the load. The first day he did, the response was not perfect, but some days later it was much better. So now we can improve his training, but he will be not available for us the next two weeks."
Amadou Onana - Out
Onana is going to miss the season due to his ACL rupture during the summer.
Matteo Ruggeri - Out
Ruggeri going to miss at least a few weeks with a muscular issue. Emery said at the time: "We don’t know exactly how long it’s going to be, but it will be some weeks that he’s going to be out, more than one month."
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Out
Wan-Bissaka is also out for a few weeks with a muscular issue. Emery confirmed
Modou Cisse - Doubt
Cisse is getting closer and may have an outside chance of featuring here. Emery said back on October 13 that he was back in training, and he has had some time to build up his fitness, but whether it's enough time is another question.
