Danny Ings scored in the 78th minute to earn Aston Villa a point in a 1-1 draw with local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at Villa Park on Wednesday evening.
After a disappointing first half — in which Villa were lucky to escape down only one goal — the hosts ramped up the pressure in the second period.
The vital breakthrough came when Tyrone Mings played a perfect ball from inside the center circle to a breaking Ings, who beat Wolves keeper Jose Sa at the far post.

In the fourth minute of added time, Leon Bailey came excruciatingly close to snatching a winner, but the forward mistimed his attempt and failed to score into an open Wolves net.
