Emi Buendia’s first-half stoppage-time goal powered Aston Villa to a 1-0 road win over Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Former Everton full back Lucas Digne provided the service from a corner and Buendia provided a deft touch with his head to send the guests into the break ahead 1-0.

Everton carried play in the second half but Villa held on for their first Premier League win since December 14 at Norwich.
Buendia played perhaps his best game in claret and blue but Digne was the star in his return to Goodison Park.
