Aston Villa announced on Saturday that forward Keinan Davis joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the 2021-22 season.

Davis joins a Forest side that sits ninth in the EFL Championship, England’s second division, with 34 points from 25 matches. The Reds are six points behind Huddersfield, who currently occupy the the final playoff spot.

Davis turns 24 next month and has scored three goals in 73 league appearances for Villa. The forward’s only Premier League goal came in April of 2021, when he scored a stoppage-time equalizer in a 2-2 draw to West Brom.

In 2017-18, Davis tallied twice in 28 Championship matches for his best statistical season.

Davis, presumably not currently a part of Steven Gerrard’s plans, could do with regular playing time and Forest looks a good fit.
