There was only a point between the Premier League and the Championship.

A point delivered by one man who would have been certain to leave his boyhood club had it not been for his goal on the final day.

Jack Grealish was a wanted man in January with potential suitors deciding to wait until the end of the season in hope of a cut-price deal. A price that would be only be slashed if Aston Villa was relegated.

The 24-year-old has kept quiet postseason and the rumours have been minimal. He is currently holidaying in Greece, however the links to Premier League clubs will likely accelerate once he returns.

Villa fans have related one of their star’s latest Instagram post to a declaration of him staying at Villa Park for next season. The ‘shutting out the noise’ statement has only favoured his statuses amongst the Holte End faithful.

Despite the latest sign favouring his stay, Grealish’s next destination is still uncertain ahead of the September kick-off.

He will come at a large price for someone who has yet to receive a full England cap. Many newspapers are claiming that Villa will only think of letting go of their star for anything upward of £60 million.

A fair price? Not good enough for anything over £30 million? Overrated? A player with no desire to leave Villa? All questions being asked by potential Premier League suitors.

Time will tell over the close season with many of those questions being answered.

The next slides will assess the options for the Grealish if he was ever to depart his beloved club.
