Aston Villa Football Club won their 9th game on the bounce with a 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.

For the first time since 1910 (!) Aston Villa have won 9 league matches on the bounce. The claret and blues are on an unimaginable run fueled by manager Dean Smith and midfielders John McGinn and Jack Grealish. We’re living concurrently with peak Villa as the club has all but assured itself of a place in the EFL Championship play-offs for a second year running.

As it stands, it looks like Villa will face West Bromwich Albion in the semi-finals. There are three games remaining, so anything is possible, but it would take an extraordinary set of results to change the current direction.
