It was a solid  home debut for new Aston Villa manager Dean Smith.

Nyland produced 4 registered saves, and each was more important than the last. Distribution was woeful, however.. GK. Aston Villa. ORJAN NYLAND. 8.0

7.0. Neil Taylor was reintroduced to the starting lineup under Dean Smith. And quietly, he was very, very good. When he’s stout defensively he brings so much more balance to Aston Villa compared to right footers Alan Hutton or James Bree.. LB. Aston Villa. NEIL TAYLOR
