I’ll preface this by saying a few credible reporters and journalists are saying Terry is a genuine candidate for the position. I really, really don’t envision it happening. He played with half the current squad just 5 months ago.

Content at his current post, Martin O’Neill will not be the next Aston Villa manager.

10. Olof Mellberg
Aston Villa need a manager. One that’s innovative and forward-thinking with a little experience. Mellberg doesn’t have that…yet.
The remaining names invoke a feeling of “meh.” Nigel Pearson, Carlos Carvalhal, Brendan Rodgers, and Sam Allardyce all could be candidates, but they’re somewhere in between the two lists.
