A familiar face (er, logo) will adorn Aston Villa kits during the 2018/2019 season. On Wednesday, the club announced 32Red as a principal partner.

Aston Villa Football Club will again have a betting sponsor adorning the claret and blue shirts next season. Online casino and sports book 32Red is the club’s new principal partner, replacing last season’s Unibet partnership.

Coincidentally, both Unibet and 32Red are owned by the same gambling operator, Kindred Group. Therefore, this might merely be a resumption of the deal made last summer.

Anyhow, 32Red is the new shirt sponsor.

If you thought their logo looked familiar, you would be correct. 32Red is a former partner, sponsoring the Villa shirts from 2006-2008. Alongside the club’s new technical sponsor Luke 1977, we should expect nothing less than some exciting, sleek looking kits this summer. While Under Armour is no longer around, exiting after the year 2 of the original five-year deal, the kits this past season are among the finest Aston Villa have had in recent history (yeah, unpopular opinion).

Pre-Season Friendly Tests

We’ll get first looks of the new kit this summer during pre-season fixtures. Villa announced Premier League side West Ham United as the 6th friendly on Tuesday:

Currently, Telford United, Kidderminster Harriers, Walsall, Burton Albion, West Ham, and German second-tier Dynamo Dresden comprise the list. Stay tuned as Villa add possibly 1-2 more fixtures to their tune-up schedule. There won’t be any Cup of Traditions action this summer, unfortunately. Fulham took a spot in the summer’s preeminent international football tournament.
