Aston Villa will be well-represented in the England youth sides this international break. A total of four players made Keith Downing’s u20 squad! Additionally, Josh Onomah makes the u21 side.

A huge congratulations to Callum O’Hare, Keinan Davis, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Easah Suliman for being called into the England u20 again! All four will head to Poland for a match-up on Thursday, March 22nd in Bielsku-Bialej before a return home to Manchester against Portugal on the 27th.

In total, Villa represent 22.22% (4/18) of the England u20 squad!

On second glance, it appears Callum O’Hare’s name has been erased from the link above. Not sure what’s up with that, as he was definitely called in earlier, per his social media account and elsewhere. Hepburn-Murphy is an injury replacement for Lukas Nmecha (Manchester City).

In any case, all four have shown tremendous ability at such tender ages. Davis has spent all season with the first team shuffling in and out of Steve Bruce’s first XI due to fellow forward injuries. O’Hare and Hepburn-Murphy have seen their first team time limited, but performances with the u23 side have been nothing short of tantalizing. Suliman, on loan at League Two club Grimsby Town, has not been starting routinely, but Sky indicates he made his debut recently.

Update: In the middle of writing this, Villa posted the following tweet, indicating RHM has not been called included, but O’Hare is. I have no idea what is going on, but the Official FA roster marks Hepburn-Murphy as an injury replacement and O’Hare as absent.

Additionally, Josh Onomah has once again been called in by Aidy Boothroyd for the u21 side. He joins a star-studded cast that includes Angus Gunn, Dominic Solanke, Ryan Sessegnon and many others. They face Romania in an under 21 friendly before playing Ukraine in a UEFA Under 21 Championship Qualifier.

Congrats, Josh!
